Wukong: the Monkey King’s journey through mountains and temples
Wukong brings together episodes from Journey to the West, one of the great classics of Chinese literature. Sun Wukong travels through a mountain landscape arranged across several levels, surrounded by masters, companions, adversaries, temple roofs and illuminated clouds.
The figures appear at the top, centre and foot of the scene like successive chapters in one story. Dark rocks, red trees and warm amber light create striking depth within the slender format.
A legend told through layered silhouettes
Several episodes in one composition: the Monkey King’s apprenticeship, journey and confrontations are distributed across the mountain and connected by paths, temples and clouds.
Strong graphic contrasts: finely cut silhouettes stand out against the amber background, so different characters and details take prominence as the viewing angle changes.
Framed like an illustrated tale: the decorative side panel resembles the cover of a richly illustrated book and gives the vertical landscape a coherent, story-led presentation.
Touch-controlled warm LED light: a simple touch illuminates the moon-like backdrop, clouds and passages between the rocks.

The kit includes a detailed illustrated guide in English. Most steps are explained through clear pictures, making the build easy to follow without relying on lengthy written instructions.
Once complete, Wukong combines Chinese storytelling, graphic silhouettes and atmospheric light in a display piece for admirers of mythology, East Asian culture and miniature scenes with a recognisable literary story.

Suitable B-7000 adhesive is available in our shop; a compatible craft adhesive may also be available locally.
