A macabre family library across two floors
Dark Family transforms the space between your books into a tall Gothic library where every shelf keeps another secret. Books, candles, clocks and cobwebs fill the room, while warm light gradually reveals its dark furniture and unusual inhabitants.
Downstairs, a gramophone shares the drawing room with a stitched hand emerging from an open trunk. Above, a pale figure watches from a suspended cage beside the gallery. Skulls, little coffins, portraits and a black cat connect both floors in a delightfully eccentric family scene.
What makes Dark Family stand out
A library with a sense of dark humour: the macabre objects sit among recognisable furniture, lamps and books. It feels less like a collection of horror decorations and more like an inhabited home with a very peculiar family history.
Two levels filled with discoveries: bookcases, gallery, ladder and balustrade guide the eye from the lower drawing room to the suspended cage and large round window above.
A story that continues outside: spiders, webs and bats frame the opening. The side panel shows a crooked haunted house against a bright moon, extending the Gothic atmosphere beyond the library itself.
Warm LED lighting with touch control: several points of light make both floors easy to read and lift the small dark details out of the shadows. One touch switches the illumination on or off.
An intermediate build packed with small details
Rated Level 3 – Intermediate, Dark Family rewards an orderly approach. The two floors, crowded shelving, balustrades and many small decorations all require precise placement.
The kit includes a detailed, illustrated guide in English. Most steps are explained through pictures, making them easy to follow and complete even if English is not your first language.
Dark Family is made for lovers of Gothic libraries, haunted houses and miniatures with a streak of dark humour. Warm light draws you in first; its many strange discoveries keep you looking.

Each kit comes with illustrated English instructions that rely mainly on pictures, so the sequence remains easy to follow even without strong English skills.
What else might I need for assembly?
Requirements vary by model. Check the Product Details for the battery type, adhesive or tools needed for your chosen kit. Suitable B-7000 adhesive is available in our shop; a compatible craft adhesive may also be available locally. Always follow the instructions and make sure any adhesive is suitable for the materials in the kit.
