A mechanical Steampunk railway compartment that opens
Steam Fantasy by Tonecheer combines the nostalgia of an old railway compartment with visible mechanics. Behind the ornate façade, a passenger sits among luggage, books and green upholstery, while an industrial city appears beyond the window in the warm light of evening.
This Book Nook offers two ways to explore the scene. The glass doors slide sideways and activate the clock mechanism above the entrance. The entire façade can also swing open to the left on visible hinges, revealing the fully furnished compartment.
What makes Steam Fantasy special?
Sliding doors linked to the mechanism: moving the doors sets the clock above the entrance in motion. The gears are part of the interaction rather than decoration alone.
A fully opening façade: closed, the model resembles an ornate travel cabinet; open, it gives an uninterrupted view of the passenger, bench, tables and technical panels.
A compartment filled with travel details: green upholstery, books, luggage, a cup and two gauges create a coherent railway interior around the seated passenger.
Warm, touch-controlled LED lighting: the light brings out the window, seat and gears. A touch point makes it easy to switch the illumination on and off.
A challenge for experienced builders
The difficulty is ★★★★☆ – Level 4, Hard. The sliding doors, clock mechanism, hinges and densely furnished compartment require precise alignment and careful checking of every moving connection.
The kit includes a detailed, richly illustrated guide in English. Pictures carry most of the instructions, so the steps remain easy to understand without strong English skills. With this mechanical build, it is particularly important to check the sequence, orientation and position of every part.
Once complete, Steam Fantasy becomes an interactive display for anyone fascinated by Steampunk, historic railway travel and visible mechanical detail.

Requirements vary by model. Check the Product Details for the battery type, adhesive or tools needed for your chosen kit. Suitable B-7000 adhesive is available in our shop; a compatible craft adhesive may also be available locally.
