The Radium Lady: a historical laboratory across two levels
Inspired by Marie Curie, The Radium Lady recreates a historical laboratory within a richly layered Book Nook. Scientific instruments, glass vessels, books and workbenches fill the two-storey interior, while a green mobile medical unit marked with a red cross anchors the lower level.
The research areas extend across both sides and rise towards the upper gallery. This arrangement creates a clear line of sight from the vehicle near the entrance to the scientific workspace above, bringing practical application and laboratory discovery into one coherent scene.
Science arranged as a vertical composition
A laboratory across two levels: benches, balustrades, bottles and apparatus distribute the detail throughout the full height without making the scene feel confused.
A mobile medical unit: the green vehicle, with its visible cab and mechanical details, connects scientific research with practical help beyond the laboratory.
A working environment filled with period detail: a bicycle, cupboards, books, pipes, valves and glassware capture the wider surroundings of scientific work, not only the experiments themselves.
Touch-controlled LED lighting: warm light travels across the shelves and gallery, highlights the instruments and keeps the vehicle at the centre of the composition.
A project for expert makers
The difficulty is ★★★★★ – Level 5, Expert. The dense arrangement of objects, vehicle, balustrades and numerous small instruments calls for experience, precise alignment and close attention to the assembly sequence.
The kit includes a detailed illustrated guide in English. Pictures explain most steps clearly, although a complex model such as this rewards particularly careful checks of position, orientation and order.

Suitable B-7000 adhesive is available in our shop; a compatible craft adhesive may also be available locally.
