A Kyoto second-hand bookshop, built shelf by shelf
Antique Bookery of Kyoto recreates a small Japanese bookshop whose crowded frontage feels ready to explore. Shelves, display cases and book carts fill the pavement, turning the shopfront into a layered scene where every glance reveals another cover, label or tiny object.
Inside, books, scripts, magazines and records share the space with a typewriter, a retro stereo, small daruma figures and a miniature counter. Japanese signs, warm brown wood and cherry-blossom details give the shop the character of a long-established neighbourhood business rather than a generic room set.
What makes this miniature house special?
A shopfront made for browsing: shelves at different heights and book carts on the pavement create a rich composition that remains easy to appreciate from across the room.
An opening right-hand door: the small shop door changes the view towards the counter and interior shelves without turning the building into an unfolding structure.
Warm LED lighting with touch control: the light brings out book covers, signs and counter details, while the battery compartment stays discreetly positioned at the back.
Japanese retro character: typography, furnishings, prints and everyday objects combine to make the Kyoto bookshop feel collected over time.

What else might I need for assembly?
Requirements vary by model. Check the Product Details for the battery type, adhesive or tools needed for your chosen kit. Suitable B-7000 adhesive is available in our shop; a compatible craft adhesive may also be available locally. Always follow the instructions and make sure any adhesive is suitable for the materials in the kit.
